Dear Member,
Please be aware that overnight between 17/01/2010 & 18/01/2010 that there were two thefts from vehicles in the same street in the Stapeley area.
In both cases vehicles were left insecure and the offenders therefore caused no damage gaining entry. A drill was taken from one vehicle. Loose change from a storage door, a pair of sunglasses and spare bulbs were taken from the second and it appears the boot was opened and looked in, although nothing was taken from within.
This is something for people in the Nantwich area to be mindful of. Please make members aware and remind them to take a little extra time to double check that they have secured their vehicle and left nothing on show. The items taken in these incidents prove that offenders will take a variety of things and not just what many people would expect them to look for. Can I ask that you continue to remind members of the importance of ensuring that they also check that they lock their house doors, even when within their property, and especially prior to going to bed. It is equally as easy for a would be offender to sneak into a house as a vehicle if left insecure.
